Philosophy of Program

During the early years, children need a stimulating environment which will enable them to build their own knowledge through many and varied "hands on" experiences designed for their own development level.

We also know that young children learn primarily through play.  Interactions between children, directed by competent teachers, help them develop socialization skills and healthy self-concepts.  Together, these affect their growth and all other learning for the rest of their lives.

In this Christian environment, the spiritual needs of the children and their moral development are considered an essential part of growth along with the physical, social, cognitive, and emotional, development.

Our Program Is Based on the Following Beliefs:

1.    The process is more important than the finished product.  Young children should enjoy doing an activity and should not be worrying about the quality of the product they produce.

2.    Children learn best by doing.  We avoid doing things for the children that they can do for themselves.  We allow the children, as much as possible, to do their own drawing, cutting, buttoning, etc.

3.    We encourage the children to be creative.  Creative experiences invite the children to experiment and explore.
